Barcelona: Nadal d. Ferrer wins barselona

This is the second tournament Nadal has won at least six times, and he'll have a chance for a third and fourth—Rome and Roland Garros—in the coming weeks. Along with Madrid, Nadal has three more opportunities on the dirt to make winners' speeches and leave us speechless.
Nadal, 24, is now unbeaten on clay in 34 matches and looks primed for a sixth French Open title in June.
Nadal won the Barcelona Open five years in a row - beating Ferrer in the 2008 and 2009 finals - before skipping the tournament in 2010 because of a knee injury.
"It's incredible to come back here to my tournament and my fans after not being able to play last year," said Nadal.
"I am very, very happy for the win and sorry for David, who is having a fantastic year and deserves a title. It's bad luck for him having to play me in three finals but it's my sixth title here and it's a huge delight."

Nadal and Ferrer Gets to Barcelona Final

BARCELONA, Spain -- Spaniards Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer will meet in the final of an ATP event for the second straight week after both were semifinal winners Saturday at the Barcelona Open.
The fourth-seeded Ferrer advanced first with a 6-3, 6-4 triumph over fellow Spaniard Nicolas Almagro and the top-seeded Nadal followed suit with a 6-3, 6-2 rout of Croatia's Ivan Dodig.
Nadal topped Ferrer last Sunday in the final of the Monte Carlo Masters. It gave Nadal his seventh straight Monte Carlo crown, and on Sunday the world No. 1 will try for his sixth Barcelona title.
Not only will the two meet for the second week in a row with a title at stake, but it will also be the pair's third meeting for the Barcelona championship. Nadal beat Ferrer for the crown in 2008 and 2009.
Nadal, who didn't play in this event last year because of injury, has won 28 straight matches on the Barcelona clay. Saturday's victory was also Nadal's 500th on the ATP Tour.

Caroline Wozniacki wins Family Circle Cup

Caroline Wozniacki, of Denmark, makes a return to Yanina Wickmayer during the Family Circle Cup tennis tournament in Charleston, S.C., Friday April 8, 2011. Wozniacki defeated Wickmayer 4-6, 6-4. 6-4.
"In every match, she finds a way to get out of it and beat her opponent," Wickmayer said. "That's most important."
Wozniacki rallied from a first-set loss and 4-2 down in the final set to defeat Wickmayer 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 on Friday to move into the semifinals.
It was another tight match for Wozniacki, who needed to two tiebreakers a day earlier to beat Barbora Zahlavova Strycova. In this one, Wickmayer looked like the steadier player, winning points with deep forehands and pushing Wozniacki all over the court. Wickmayer kept the pressure on in the second set as she took a 3-1 lead against the Dane.
But as Wozniacki did against Zahlavova Strycova, she pulled herself up with a string of laser forehands and well-placed shots. Wozniacki won five of final six games to even the match.

Dojokvic Beats Nadal In A Bar Fight!!!!!!!!!!!

The top-ranked Nadal and No. 2 Novak Djokovic were deadlocked and running out of energy heading into the final-set tiebreaker as a lively crowd of 14,625 — the largest ever to watch the championship in Key Biscayne — enjoyed every minute of the compelling action. After lopsided results in the men’s semifinals and women’s final, the audience was finally getting its money’s worth.
Djokovic rallied from a set down to beat Nadal 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) in a match that lasted 3 hours 21 minutes. When it was finally over, when the Serb’s forehand cross-court winner whizzed out of Nadal’s reach on match point, he raised his arms skyward and roared, as he did when he first won this tournament in 2007. And the Djokovic fans serenaded their hero with “No-lay! No-lay!” — his Serbian nickname.
Djokovic: "I had lots of winners and I decreased the number of unforced errors coming into the second set, which was important to me. I wanted, you know, to make him play an extra shot, not give him a lot of free points, and try to get some free points out of serve, which wasn't happening that much. (Ultimately), I had to work—both of us had to work for each point in this match, especially in the third set."

Victoria Azarenka tops Maria Sharapova

Sharapova was flat and her opponent sharp. Azarenka swept nine consecutive games to take charge Saturday and won the tournament for the second time, beating Sharapova, 6-1, 6-4.
The final matched two of the most notorious grunters in tennis, and while both were noisy, Azarenka's shots had more bang. Sharapova committed 43 unforced errors, held serve only once and came up short with a late comeback bid.
"I played real well the first set," the No. 8-seeded Azarenka said. "Maria is such a great fighter, I knew she was going to fight to the end. She came up with great tennis at the end, and I had to hang in there. That's what paid off."
And who had the better shriek?
"I think mine is quieter," Azarenka said.

Sony Ericsson Open Azarenka v. Sharapova

Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka are the finalists for the 2011 Sony Ericsson Open. Azarenka is into the final having defeated both Kim Clijsters and Vera Zvonareva in recent matches while Sharapova is the sole survivor of Caroline Wozniacki's half of the draw.

Sharapova and Azarenka have only met four times in the past and they look evenly matched heading into Saturday's final. Heads-up they are 2-2 against one another with Azarenka winning the last match between the two players, the final from WTA Stanford 2010.

Nadal Beats Federer Gets Dojokvic at Miami Final

In a world of competitive tennis being 29 is very old . I would say Roger Federer had more hard time at the post match news conference than losing to Rafa on the court . If you listen to the questions you would never know that Federer is 0-4 this year against Nadal and Djokovic and 22-0 against everyone else.I have no doubt that Federer will bounce back from this and may even win another grand slam .
Aside from that we will be treated to a great final at the Sony Ericsson Open at Miami.
Dojokvic is playing lights out tennis scary 25-0 this year and Rafa is hungry as ever to win and gets even.
